A practical guide
Your wildlife journey in India.
What we arrange, how safari days work and what to consider before choosing your route.
What we arrange
We put together tailor-made land journeys in India: places to stay, safari arrangements and transfers that connect your itinerary. Begin with a forest, a wildlife interest or the time you have available.
International flights are separate. Your proposal identifies exactly what is included, what is excluded and which arrangements are still subject to availability.
Arriving & travelling onwards
Choose your arrival city around the whole route. The nearest airport to a forest may require an onward flight or a substantial drive from your international arrival point.
- Share your starting city and arrival plans before fixing the forest sequence.
- Allow time to recover from a long flight and make onward connections.
- Match each stay to its safari entry gate. A reserve can have several gates far apart.
Each forest page gives a useful gateway and route reference. We confirm the final transfers once the itinerary is clear.
Check current entry requirements for your nationality through the official Indian visa website. Requirements and eligibility vary.
What a safari day can look like
A day may begin with an early drive, followed by breakfast and time to rest at your stay. An afternoon outing offers another chance to observe the forest before returning for the evening.
This is an example rhythm, not a fixed schedule. Drive timings, access and activities follow the reserve’s current rules and your confirmed permits. You can also discuss a lighter pace or days without a safari.
What to expect in the forest
Expect time sitting in a safari vehicle, uneven tracks and changing outdoor conditions. Your naturalist helps interpret calls, tracks and animal behaviour. Wildlife sightings cannot be promised.
Stays & safari arrangements
Accommodation is available at different comfort levels. Tell us what matters to you: a quiet setting, room preferences, food, facilities or shorter journeys to a gate.
A private safari vehicle is not assumed. We discuss private or shared arrangements where available, and your proposal states the vehicle and safari arrangements being offered.
Forest access, permits and entry gates need to work together with your stay. We check the combination before you commit to the journey.
Travelling at your own pace
Tell us early about children travelling with you, mobility needs, dietary requirements or anything that affects your comfort. We discuss what is feasible with the proposed stays and safari arrangements.
Accessibility, food options and facilities vary. Specific requests need confirmation for the chosen itinerary; we do not assume that every lodge or safari can accommodate them.
Choosing dates
Cooler mornings, hot afternoons and seasonal access can make very different trips. Start with your preferred month or tell us you are flexible. We help connect your interests with the practical conditions and current opening arrangements.
From enquiry to a confirmed journey
- Share an outline. Your interests, approximate dates and time available are enough to begin.
- Discuss the options. We work through the forests, pace, stays and transfers with you.
- Review your proposal. Check the itinerary, inclusions, exclusions, availability and booking terms before confirming.
Sending an enquiry starts a conversation. It does not book a safari or confirm accommodation.
